Martin
James is one of London's finest up and coming
DJ / Producers. He describes his musical style
as ranging from Funky House through to Tribal
Percussive Grooves, though perhaps this fails
to convey the scope and depth of the sound, composed
as it is of elements from many cultures and musical
genres, old and (very) new. Martin himself asserts:
'It has never been more obvious that musical
diversity and an open mind is where it's at.'
Years
as a percussionist and composer on the London
circuit have equipped Martin with a wealth of
ability and experience. His DJ sets are typified
by extremely accurate mixing, excellent set- composition,
acute audience-awareness, and a constant stream
of compulsive body-moving beats.
Martin
has recently played out at Pacha and The Cross,
two of London's most prestigious clubs, for major
monthly promotions Love2Lounge, Prologue, and
Prologue vs. Vertigo. He also has vast experience
of playing smaller, more intimate bars and clubs
in and around London, both as a DJ and as a musician.
Martin's
production work has also started to take off.
He recently had one of his tunes played on M.T.V
by the Shiva sound system.
