Lloyd
has been a DJ for 5 years, initally starting out
by working the smaller local venues in his area.
This was mainly to establish a good local following
and allow for him to master his abilities. He then
progressed up through the ranks to secure a weekly
residency at the Palace nightclub, Swansea.
Lloyd describes his style as 'energetic' and 'up
for it', playing a wide range of music to suit any
time or venue, ranging through trance, hard UK and
German trance to full-throttle hard house.
Past
gigs and Accomplishments
I
had the chance in a lifetime to play the world
famous 'Cafe Mambo' in Ibiza after entering a
competition with the sun newspaper.
I was selected to play the main stage at the Tredegar
Rock and Dance Festival, warming up for none other
than Escape Resident DJ Danny Slade, after I won
the DJ mixing competition.
I was chosen as one of the best up and coming
DJs at the Welsh Dance Music Awards after party
by Immtech studios Cardiff, which resulted in
me playing in the Emporium, warming up for such
nights as Time Flies and Bionic.
Lloyd
Rivers has been recognised as best up and coming
DJ by the Prince's Trust. After many months of
planning and careful promotion for his night at
'Ascension' @ Evolution Cardiff, Lloyd was recognised
by the Prince's Trust as the best up and coming
DJ/Promoter in Wales, and has assisted
Lloyd with financial backing.
