Jamie got into Djing/mixing during the Electro/Hip-Hop
Generation. He first started playing little jams
@ Castle Hill Youth Centre.
In
1991 he played his first ever 'rave' to about
500 people in the West Country. He then went on
to play warm-ups at other free parties e.g. Castlemorton,
Lechlade etc.
In 1992 Jamie went to Ibiza and played a couple
of sets @ Nitelife. Towards
the end of Summer 1992 Jamies whole record
collection was stolen, leaving him devastated.
In
1995 Jamie got hold of an 'well-used' pair of
Technics and started buying records again. In
that summer he played out at 'The Printers Devil
Pub', Slough for three months, playing Old Skool
, House & DnB. He also Dj'd at Bensons Niteclub,
Henley, Mirage in Windsor, Henrys in Burnham,
The Boulevard (Skindles) Maidenhead & '5th
Ave' in Maidenhead. From Summer of '96 until Xmas
'97 Jamie played out every Saturday @ The Bell
Pub . He also played at Club 412 Slough, Bensons
& Mirage.
On
the 25th Jan 1998 Jamie C presented his own night
: 'JUS4U Productions' @ The Boulevard Room, High
Wycombe.- with Guest DJ Stu Patterson. This was
closely followed by a JUS4U Valentines Ball, followed
by nights The Chunnel Club for 321 Productions.
By mid-1998 Jamie was playing 2Step quite regularly
at Sugar & Spice @ The 412 Club
Slough. He also played for 'Kushty Promotions'
(High Wycombe), 'Gigolo Promotions' (High Wycombe),
and 'Flex' @ Royals (Uxbridge).
In
early 1999 he again played for 'Kushty' &
'Flex'. In the summer Jamie presented ANOTHA
SUNDAY ROAST @ Shooters Bar, Windsor. He
also played at 'The Gigolo Mid Summer Ball' (Newbury)
& 'The Gigolos Summer Boat Party'. He also
Dj'd on RW 58FM
In
2002 Jamie played a two hour set @ 'The Summer
Technival' (Stourt Beach, Somerset). That October
he joined a crew called Oblivion & played
several parties with them. In May 2003 played
at the 'Summer Festival' in Hereford. He has also
played at 'Suburban Breakdown' @ Bentleys, West
Drayton, Energize Systems & Oblivion 5K.
From
October 2003 until February 2004 Jamie played
regularly on Point Blank FM.
