His sets are firmly built upon deep and funky foundations often tinged with elements of percussion and jazz, the emphasis squarely on musical quality. This can be attributed to an active involvement in Music - an area in which he has experience of live performance as a bass player as well as song writing and studio techniques. His wide ranging musical tastes encompass obscure alternative bands like Shriekback through to the funk of Parliament and Prince to the deeper side of house & techno.

Since the conception of Coalesce in '93 Hardy S. has been co-organiser and for the past 5 years, resident in the funky room. Since then he has made a real impact, through his fusion of deep house, funk and eclectic grooves. He has been a regular player at Heaven, as well as making appearances at London's most noted underground parties. He has also played at some of the most upmarket and exclusive London bars including Denim, Abigail's Party and Papa Gaio. He played at the launch party for Sony Play Station's snowboarding game at three Mills Island Studios (voted corporate party of the year by Edge). His Dj'ing skills have also taken him to the world famous 'Love Parade' in Berlin where he guested for Nature One on their float (known for organising the biggest Dance festival in Germany).

Hardy. S recently spent four summer months as a resident DJ in Ayia Napa, where he spun 5 hour sets 6 nights a week at the beautiful and exclusive Sydney Beach club. (Host to The Mystique and Radio One after parties). Whilst there he also guested at Rise and headlined The Mixmag Party at The Abyss Club.

Recent appearances include three weeks at the beautiful Kiss Club in Portugal where for 6 hours a night he played in the exclusive VIP room, (Kiss have also offered him a residency), and a trio of sets at Homelands, a two-week tour of Brazil, (where he is represented by The Smartbiz Agency) playing clubs in Rio and Sau Paulo, including The Manga Rosa, The Jazzy and the Smartbiz Café launch party. Other guest appearances include The Melkveg in Amsterdam, The Ministry of Sound, Iceni and The Glass House in London, the famous Discount Club in Berlin and Velvet in New Zealand, as well as several spots for MTV and numerous other parties.

Radio experience includes presenting a weekly round up of festivals and events for SRN, as well as hour long live remixes.

Having engineered and produced a large chunk of the Coalesce CD compilation album, Hardy S has since written and produced a five track promotional e.p. entitled 'a temperate climate' and has recently finished a six track follow-up entitled 'Urban camouflage'. He continues to write new tracks with his third e.p. almost ready.
